Model horse clubs provide a way to meet other people who share
your hobby. Some clubs are regional affairs, and consist of people who live
nearby and gather together in person to talk and share their model finds. The
majority, however, correspond through the Internet or traditional mail,
connecting people who would never have had the opportunity to meet in person.
Some are free, while most charge a nominal fee to cover club expenses and
provide services such as web sites and year-end awards for members. I've
compiled a list of all the model horse clubs that I'm aware of. If you know of
one that should be listed here, please
email me.
With one exception I am not affiliated with any of the clubs
listed. Please use ordinary caution when dealing with people you don't know
over the Internet.
Breyer Model Horse Registry
- BMHR: A terrific club for beginners and old hands alike that I
happened to help run at one time. :-) The BMHR is open to
anyone who owns Breyer model horses, and offers monthly free shows, an annual
Grand Nationals, and year-end high point awards for top performing models. Be
sure to check it out! Now also the Stone Model Horse Registry.
North American Model Horse
Showers Association - NAMHSA: The largest and most influential club

which is where the phrase "NAN qualified" comes from.
International Model Equine
Hobbyist's Association, Inc. - IMEHA: This club is actually several
clubs in one, offering model horse, cat, and dog collectors the opportunity to
compete in photo shows and other events. Be sure to check out their very
